Positive: We really loved the elevated yurt – it was both beautiful and comfortable. It kept us perfectly dry on a rainy night, the temperature inside was just right, and the little table with chairs made it feel extra cozy.

Negative: The staff felt a bit cold and not very communicative. Compared to other places in Kyrgyzstan, the food was below our expectations.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Jeti Oguz Gorge, surrounded by stunning views. The food was excellent, the staff were very welcoming, and the facilities were impressively good for such a remote, natural setting.

Negative: The property has four small yurts: two on the upper level facing the mountains, and two facing the forest and parking area. On the booking page they are listed as the same type, but from the photos I understood there was a difference and specifically requested the mountain-facing ones. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up, and one of those yurts was double-booked with another guest. We were given a larger yurt instead, which was nice, but it’s worth checking in advance to avoid this kind of confusion.

Positive: The staff is excellent. I was a disaster of a guest, I'm afraid - I arrived in the area far later than anticipated and was stranded until the owner offered to pick me up at 10:30 p.m.; I didn't have enough som to pay and had to pay part in USD. But as one of the keepers said to me, "There is always a solution." This is a family and staff that finds solutions with elegance. The property itself is just what I wanted - when you exit your yurt in the morning you are greeted by alpine splendor. The food is tasty, and dinner was fairly priced. The bathrooms were always clean. Wifi was reliable - not that one wants to spend time online in this stunning beauty! As a backpacker this was on the more expensive side for me but I would happily rebook - and in fact considered blowing my budget just to stay longer!

Negative: Guests with mobility concerns should be aware that while the small yurts are comfortable, they require some ducking and squatting to enter. Meals are also served at low tables and you sit on the floor. This did not bother me, but it may bother some guests. If you book a single yurt you will be on a platform shared with another guest (though the yurt is private). So it is not necessarily a place for absolute solitude, just so you're aware.

Positive: Wow, this place is absolutely beautiful! Stayed here with my partner for a night and we were both taken aback by all this place has to offer. The yurts and cabin are all so well kept and clean. The host family were so kind and welcoming. The drive up is incredibly scenic and the view once you reach the accommodation is so worth it. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing night(s) on your trip.

When I came across Taberik, I was initially hesitant — the place had no reviews, and traveling with kids, comfort is our top priority. But the location looked so stunning that I decided to take a chance. And I’m so glad I did — Taberik exceeded all our expectations. We were warmly greeted by Meyrambek, the owner, who welcomed us with tea and cookies and shared that they had just opened for their very first season. The entire place is brand new and built with great attention to detail. The setting is breathtaking: nestled at the foot of a mountain, surrounded by untouched nature, with yurts and cozy cabins scattered across the land. The cabins have heating, hot water, and high-speed internet via Starlink, which was a pleasant surprise given the remote location. The interiors are thoughtfully designed — wooden furniture, natural materials, spotless cleanliness, and a cozy atmosphere. You can immediately feel that a lot of care, resources, and investment went into creating this place. We passed by several other guesthouses along the way, and honestly, none of them came close to Taberik. It’s truly a different level of comfort and beauty. There’s also a stunning waterfall nearby, adding to the magic of the place. This location touched my heart so deeply that I couldn’t resist writing this review — and I don’t do that often. If you’re traveling around Issyk-Kul and want a peaceful, scenic, and genuinely comfortable experience, Taberik is the place
